We use Wi-Fi routers to access internet. This is the major device in present to access internet. It’s true that we can access internet, but what about its security? If anyone knows your password what will be the result? It is certainly dangerous. Therefore, Let’s follow a simple method to establish the security in our router.

Secure your router doing following steps

-First log into your router.

-Then you will see the configuration page via IP address relevant to the router.

-It is about the router’s raw details.

WLAN Filter

Do you know about the Mac Address? Mac Address is the unique address for our mobile or computer, given by the device manufacturer, through which we access to the network.

Previously, we talked about the security of our router. If someone knows our router password it will be a trouble. Using the WLAN we can avoid this. That’s because this router saves Mac addresses.

White List and Black List

These are two types of filters.

White list means, when we enter the Mac Address, we are allowed to connect the router. It doesn’t mean that saved users can’t connect router using password.

Black list means when we enter the Mac Address, we are not allowed to connect the router. It doesn’t mean that saved users can connect to the router using password.

Mac Filter

This filter controls data sharing via router but router although connected. Mac Filter does not break connecting.

How to enable? Follow these steps

-First go to “Settings”

-Then go to “WLAN Configure Menu”>>>” WLAN Mac Filter”

-Default must be marked as “Disable”

-If you select Allow, it Is the “White List”

-If you select Deny, then it is the “Black List”
